I’ve been dying to try Moblique pen holders for a long time, so I was really excited when @luis.creations sent over a few different pen holders for me to try. Read on for my first impressions and thoughts!

So I’m just going to say this first – I’m FAIRLY certain that I’m going to love these and this “review” of mine will probably just be a bunch of positive things.
But, we’ll see ?.

Alright, they do feel a little lighter than most holders I’ve used in the past, just because most of the ones I’ve used have been wood. I do like the feel of them, though! The silver and gold have that metallic smooth feel (even though they are plastic, which gives them such a light feel), and the beige one is a bit softer. Overall, great so far!
The next thing I know about these from seeing them on Instagram is that….
They twist open, and you can STORE YOUR NIBS inside. Honestly? Genius. I love, love, love this feature, especially for those of us who frequently misplace our nibs…*cough cough*
Aaaaaand, I also knew from creeping these on IG that you can totally just switch the tops and bottoms to make different colour combos. So pretty!
While we’re on the topic of looks…
Luis also sent me these two extra MoFlanges. I feel like they look the best with silver, so I’m going to set these up with the silver one.
I also knew I’d like that these can be BOTH oblique holders and straight holders. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, be sure to check out this video for beginners on how to use pointed pens. An oblique holder essentially sets your writing up on a certain angle, whereas a straight holder requires you to sort of angle your hand the way you want your writing to go. Both are awesome, but a lot of people tend to prefer one over the other.
And now, the biggest question: WHAT DO I WRITE TO TEST IT OUT?!?!?!
I’m going go ahead and write the alphabet, but tell me in the comments below – when you test a new pen, what’s the first thing you write???
Overall, as expected, I REALLY like these!!!! I will say, the ONLY thing that’ll take some getting used to is that they’re fairly light because they’re plastic. I’m really used to wood, but at the same time I think I might come to like how light they are! I’m curious to see if it’ll be easier on my hand when doing long pieces. We’ll see!
