Have A Plan (and be intentional)

What do you want to do? Who do you want to be? Knowing the answer to these types of questions and having a clear vision or a goal of what you want to accomplish in life to work towards.

If you know what you want to accomplish, you can reverse engineer it to figure out what steps you need to get closer to it.

 

Have small little steps each day.

 Be Consistent

Scotty recommends that you post at LEAST once per week in order to slowly build your tribe. Anyone can do that! Anyone can post once per week.

You need to stay in front of people and remind them you exist. Yes, it can be hard, but be accountable FOR YOURSELF.

 Be Persistent 

It’s not easy when you pursue something that is important to you. And when times get hard, you have to grit it out. It can be exhausting and difficult, but it’ll be worth it in the end. 

Stop Trying to be Pizza 

Ok, so some context…Scotty LOVES pizza. Like, loves pizza. Scotty is also a big believer in loving and accepting your quirks and waving your freak flag. After spending the majority of his life trying to please everyone, (trying to be pizza…) and creating work that other people loved and wanted to see, he neglected what HE wanted to create. So, stop trying to appeal to everyone. 

You can’t make everyone happy, you’re not pizza.

 Find Your “Secret Sauce” (aka your sweet spot)

 How to make a secret sauce?

Take your greatest passion and your greatest strength and find a way to mix the two together. That’s the base to your secret sauce.

But when you’re ready to turn it into a side hustle, you need to throw in a third ingredient to your sauce: a market.

Who is the person you can provide your solution to? That’s your market.

And when you put those things together, you get YOUR SECRET SAUCE!
